GENTING OIL AND GAS LIMITED

Genting Oil and Gas Limited (“GOGL”) is an independent oil and gas exploration and production company founded in 1996. Its head office is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and it has subsidiary offices in Jakarta, Indonesia, and in Beijing and Xian He, China.

Since its inception, it has undertaken international oil and gas exploration and production activities in several countries. GOGL currently operates and produces oil from the Zhuangxi Buried Hill Oilfield in Shandong, China via its wholly-owned subsidiary Genting Oil and Gas (China) Limited (“GOGC”). GOGL via its wholly-owned subsidiary Sanyen Oil and Gas Limited (“SOGL”) operates the offshore Anambas Production Sharing Contract (“PSC”) in West Natuna, Indonesia which is in its first 3-year exploration period. Another wholly-owned subsidiary - Laila Limited - holds a significant deferred consideration in relation to future oil or gas production from the Muturi Production Sharing Contract (“PSC”) in Indonesia. This deferred consideration represents part of the sale proceeds of selling Cairns Limited (with its 45% interest in the Muturi PSC) to BP Global Investments Ltd in July 2001.

GOGL is active in its search for new international oil and gas exploration, development and production opportunities that can add value or synergy to parent company, Genting Berhad, and its industrial arm, Genting Sanyen (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd. A small team of oil and gas exploration and production specialists is located in its head office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and in its subsidiary offices in Beijing and Xian He, China.
